I went to Philydelphia to do geneology research and check out the history that spilled out every where there. I found great family records at both the Philidelphia City Archives and obits that listed maiden names and dates that I had been searching for for 20 years . . . there is nothing like going to the town where your ancestors lived and died to get at good records!

I visited the Liberty Bell . . or at least a copy . ..went to Liberty Hall . .and checked out Benjamin Franklins grave . . . disapointing he did not have a headstone, just a slab over the grave to keep it from getting dug up.
