I was in Bethel, Alaska to shoot the fireworks show for the start of the Kuskokwin 300 dog sled race. (See then entire Bethel trip by looking at the table of contents to my travel blogs). I was staying with a very nice family who offered to give me a "Tour of the town" . . . they though I was a little strange when the number one thing I wanted to see was the cemetery. This was the "old" cemetery which is pretty much full. The "new" vetrans cemetery only had 2 or three graves, which also had small plane wooden crosses.

The majority of graves at the Cemetery in Bethel, Alaska had simple wooden crosses. This was the most ornate cross in the cemetery.
