Seemed that every Buddhist Temple had shrines that held peoples ashes . . the more important or wealthy the individual the larger the shrine.
This is the Veterans Cemetery. The high ranking Generals had there own shrines, the solders were in a mausoleum of sorts. The entire cemetery was surrounded by a serpent being held by solders.
About 4 doors down from the hotel we staid at there was somebody who died . . . the body was brought to the house with great pomp and circumstance and then for 7 days and 7 nights . . the music never stopped. Loud enough the whole neighborhood could here it . . and there were none stop people . . .for 7 days . . .it was a relief when it was over.
