Where I stayed
After we had wasted a good half of the day switching accomodation and being at the station we finally went out to see the sights. Our first destination we were heading to was the Spanish steps. Along the way we passed through a massive traffic circle with a huge fountain in the centre with statues of four naked women around the outside and a man in the centre that was apparently thought of as too provacative when it was first created and so I (Jackie) re-termed it the provacative fountain since we couldn't remember the actual name
The Pantheon was our next stop and it was also just a couple blocks away; good thing we didn't get that pass since everything is so close together. Again we snapped a few pictures. We weren't allowed to go inside though I think because it was a sunday, instead there was a huge group of people crowded around the doors trying to get a glimpse inside as they just leave the doors open and rope it off.
Next we walked through a couple main market squares and then started our walk back towards our hotel. Rome is such an amazing city with so many sights so close together and they're not all museums and things you have to enter to enjoy and so we had a whole day of free sightseeing which was, just like Venice, perfect for us at this time in our trip.
