Where I stayed
Back at the hostel 3 1/2 hours after I left Jackie had managed to upload a few hundred pictures onto the internet. We went and searched for food because we had barely eaten anything all day. We went to bed relativily early, not a real hard day all around.
The next day we walked around the city and took pictures of the parliament buildings and other interesting arcitecture. We noticed that there are dozens of sculptures of naked men fighting with horses, which we think is really strange but it seemed to be a common theme everywhere we walked
Then we were very unsure as to what we wanted to do for the rest of the day but we found a brochure for Vienna's Prater amusement park on the north end of the city so we went to check it out. We thought about going on the gigantic ferris wheel but it turns out it takes 20-30min to go around once so we opted out. Instead we went on the 'Worlds Highest Chair Swing" (117m) and it was amazing to see Vienna from that high up and it was actually kind of stomache churning as well being that high up in just a metal swing chair. Jackie then wanted to go on another ride and it ended up being one that straps you in real tight then spins you around and upside down and for some reason my stomach was still a little queazy so this ride made me feel crappy again, almost threw up but held myself together.
We went back to the hostel and worked on our blog some more before heading to bed; actually I went to bed and Jackie ended up staying up past midnight trying to load more pictures so we could get more space on our camera memory card.
We are such interesting people that we spent the entire next day uploading pictures and making room on our memory card for the rest of the trip (we have a LOT of pictures).
