Where I stayed
Hans & Diane Rommel's House
This happened to be a very nice day out as well. For lunch Diane made us a German dish called spietzle (probably butchered the spelling of that) which is homemade noodles and then in the afternoon Sylvia decided it was a good day for ice cream and so we all went to the local ice cream place. There they make what they call spaghetti ice cream, which is just ice cream put through a machine that pushes it out in the shape of noodles, and James and I (Jackie) thought it was awesome so it wasn't too hard for us to decide what we were having.
When we were finished and walking back we decided to check out an old house that people of Nonnenhorn (including Hans I believe) have turned into a small museum. It was here that Jaron and Amy actually started to warm up to us a little. As we went through the place checking out all the old tools, wine bottle fillers, hair crimpers, toys, etc, etc Jaron and Amy got more and more daring and were trying to tickle us and got us to pick them up so they could play with different things and they eventually came right out of their shells and didn't think anymore that they couldn't have fun with us just because we speak english!
After the mini museum James and I took Jaron to sit down by the lake and after wrestling around with him and getting him hyped up we decided we better get him calmed down again and got the cherries we had bought and had a cherry seed spitting contest; hanging out with an 8 year old at the lake can actuallhy be quite entertaining! haha.
