We went out for a late lunch to Wetherspoons because we did not feel like cooking our own meal, travelling is a good excuse for that! haha. Afterwards we went back to the hostel to play scrabble and watch a movie because we were truly feeling lazy this day. Also, after supper we came back to the movie room as it was "movie night" at the hostel and they had advertised free popcorn! I (Jackie) was very excited about the popcorn mostly and did not want to miss out even though we had already watched a movie that day. Sadly the hostel's movie night was a joke and James and I were the only ones in there (partially because they used the tv room and not the room with the big projector where most people went looking in) and the popcorn turned out to be candied popcorn in a bag they bought from the dollar store
The next day we packed up and checked out and put our bags in storage for the day as our bus to Inverness did not leave till after 10pm. We decided we weren't just gonna sit in the hostel again all day and went and walked around the shopping area of the city stopping in a few books stores so James could continue the hunt for a book he's been looking for since Australia to finish off his series he started. (If anyone reads George R Martin books can you PLEASE ask James which book he needs and send it to him!! haha)
I also stopped to look in some clothing stores of course, which drove James crazy and he always ended up leaving and going to sit outside on a bench to wait. I got lucky at T.K Maxx and ended up with 3 shirts and a pair of shorts....James wasn't so lucky and ended up waiting for about a half hour outside after I told him I would be right out, oops (of course that was right before I started finding things I actually liked).
We also ended up in the Cavern area and walked by the place where the old Cavern pub where the beatles played, of course we snapped a couple shots but then moved on cz there wasn't that much to see.
That evening was "pizza night" at the hostel and we had asked if it was ok if we joined in since our bus didn't leave till so late and they had said it was fine...we wished they would've just told us no! At around the time it was suppose to start 4 other people came in the tv room where it was suppose to be and said they had asked about it at the desk and the guy said "oh yeah! I'm suppose to be in charge of that and then went off", bad sign number 1! After waiting for quite some time we realized the guy had either ordered it after he had been reminded or had had to run to a store and then back and was cooking it. Turned out he was cooking it; to our surprise (although after "movie night" James and I shouldn't have been) he brought in a tiny flat pizza on a plate...there was six of us sitting there and this was suppose to be our supper! Haha. We each had a slice of the small thin pizza and we were all laughing; the guy actually looked embarrassed when he brought it in but did say there was more. It was a joke. Two more girls came in after and we laughed and let them know what the pizza was. We all sat around waiting for the next serving but after over a half hour the original six of us all made our way to a nearby grocery store to just buy an actual meal!
At 9:30pm we made our way to the bus station to start our overnight journey to Inverness. We had to stop at 11pm and wait till 1am for our next bus and then again in the morning at about 8am till 9am to get on our final bus to Inverness.
