We left the campsite and went to a local geothermal stream the guy at the campground office told us about, where you can sit underneath a small waterfall and enjoy the nice warm water. Too much to ask to have the stream all to ourselves I guess because 5 minutes after we got there two busloads of school kids showed up on a field trip and took over the stream leaving us to have to sit in the colder part of the stream until they left 45 minutes later! Just our luck to get pointed to a kind of free hidden local's spot and then the experience being trampled on by 40 elementary school kids! Haha, very romantic!

Then headed to a campsite in Waitomo and booked a caving tour for the next day and just chilled out for the rest of the afternoon. By this time in our two straight months of living in a campervan we’ve started to appreciate getting to just sit around in campground TV room facilities and get out of our van for a bit!
