The night before we decided to start the drive to Jackson Bay (completely out of our way) because we read that it was rated as a good drive and figured they may be something out there to see and ended up stopping along the way for the night. In the morning we finished the drive and Jackson Bay ended up just being a very small town with a little harbour, nothing we couldn't see in many other places along our way, oh well.
We drove most of today stopping to take some pictures of the Franz-Josef glacier; we have glaciers we can go to back by home in BC so instead of spending time here we moved on so we could have time to fit in all the things we can't experience back home.
We didn't do very much other than drive so of course this entry is short
We woke and headed north to see the 'pancake rocks and blowholes'. They were pretty cool and that broke up our day of driving again. We finally got to our destination by Abel Tasman National Park and stopped at a hostel called 'The Barn' which also has campsites. We did all of our laundry (there's alot) and tidied up our van a bit. We decided to just laze around for the rest of the afternoon/evening and looked into kayaking tours of the beaches in the area; we decided though that we would walk to one of the big secluded bays in the park the next day and then decide on the kayaking.
