We are writing this on the 16th and cannot remember anything specific that we did this day. We know we drove a lot all day and then went to a lookout at the top of a mountain but couldn't see anything because it was too foggy so we stayed overnight just down the road from it and waited until morning and the fog settled a bit.
After going back to check out the lookout again we drove into Jervis bay and got a stall at a caravan park and then spent most of the day on the beach
After being held up by the hundreds of bike riders in the morning as we tried to leave we headed to Kiama, which is just south of Sydney. We met a few older couples who lived there and they told us about the beaches nearby and some places to park for free. So we sat on the beaches in the morning until it got too warm, then we went and bought a litre of icecream from the grocery store and brought it to another beach we wanted to check out.
We ate our icecream on the beach inside of a little inlet where there was a sand bar that you could swim to and walk along. It was a real great spot and we spent the rest of the day there under the sun and in the water.
We stayed in the parking lot that night and got to have cold showers that were in the washrooms. When Jackie went to have a shower there was a huge spider sitting on the wall by where she reached up to put her shampoo; she said she slowly packed up and backed out of the stall and went into another. Soon after someone else came into the stall and saw the spider and there was a lot of screaming and shouting before they finally killed it. I (James) just happened to be in the bathroom next door and heard the screaming and thought someone had walked in on her...guess not!
