On the 5th we woke up and ended up going to Torquay instead of Angelsea because it was quicker from where we ended up the night before and because it was still too cold for us to want to try to learn to surf (we know we're babies and there are things called wetsuits).
That morning we went to the library to update the blog again and then as it started getting warmer out in the afternoon we thought again about learning to surf...then we decided we would rather be lazy and sit our butts on the beach, so that's exactly what we did. We spent the whole afternoon just laying by the ocean and reading. When we got too warm we went down to the water to walk around in it and instantly were happy with our decision to not surf because the water was ice cold! (I guess it is the ocean though).
That night we went to look for a place to park and ended up staying at a caravan park because we couldn't find a free spot and ended up paying $30 which was super expensive for us considering we normally don't pay anything and the most we had paid before was $12.

So in the morning we slept in, took our time, and took total advantage of the hot showers at the site. Then we decided just to drive around the penninsula and check out the beaches and find somewhere to stop for the day. And once again we sat and read on the beach by the ocean just soaking up some sun...we're hoping our tans are really building up now!
That evening we ended up stopping at a big gas station along the highway with a huge parking lot for truckers to rest. There were lots of other little vans like ours there as well and we couldn't find any cheap sites on the maps we had so it was perfect for us.
As we head towards Melbourne (we'll be there tomorrow or the next day) we are starting to wonder where exactly we're suppose to park for the night if we want to see the big city for more than just a day and not drive out at night. We're pretty sure we'll have this problem in Sydney as well but more so because we'll be there longer and will be moving around to different parts of the big city. I'm sure we'll figure something out though!
