Before we even moored up on Phi Phi we could tell it was going to be awesome, the scenery on the way was amazing with giant limestone cliffs and lush turquoise water. It looked like Paradise!!
There are no roads on Phi Phi and no cars at all, it was so nice you could walk anywhere you wanted, most of the island was huge cliffs and the main town is set between them on a small slice of flat land with beaches on either side! We went up to the viewpoint to get a better view of the whole island.
We walked through the rainforest on one day and came out on the other side of the island on a deserted beach, it was lovely, we spent the day there relaxing, but we ended up getting a boat back as the rainforest wasn't easy on the way down, let alone on the way back up!!
We were walking through the town when we bumped into our friends we met on Pha Ngan, it was so good to see them as we'd already said our goodbyes on Koh Tao and didn't think we would see them again! We met them for yet another crazy night with far too many buckets, mad dances, limbo, free drinks, moustache tattoos, fire shows and madness!! But for the first time we didn't end up in the sea!! Thank God!
After a day or so once we'd recovered, we took a boat to Phi Phi Lay the smaller island just off the coast, where they filmed The Beach, it was amazing the water was such a lush colour and there is a small opening in the cliffs to get into the bay by boat, so once your in it feels like its all enclosed!!
We spent the whole day here and did some snorkelling and walked to the other side of the island but its totally empty apart from a rangers house!! Paradise!
We absolutely loved Phi Phi and would definitely go back, but for now we had to head to Phuket to make our way back to Bangkok!!
