Hey everybody!
where to start, well on friday i went for my training for my new job where i sell vodafone sim cards door to door! it was pretty simple but just lots to remember! there was an exam at the end and im not one to boast but i believe i did get 100% on the test! at last i have found something i excel at, vodafone job tests! i start tomorrow so it should be interesting! while i was busy being a working man, andrew was roaming the streets of yet unexplored sydney! he got lost lots of times and he conveniently got lost in the botanic gardens! mmmm, how convenient, what a gay boy!!
after all the tired roaming around the gardens, he eventually fell asleep on a park bench! all he needed was a bottle of wine, and the tramp look was complete!
That night we were meant to meet our good mates chris and tom from the U.K, but they couldnt get accomodation so they stayed in coogee, a town outside Sydney with their friends they metw hile travelling. We explored the Sydney night life with a couple of our room mates which turned out to be a lot of fun! Olley the Canadian and a professional surfer called Keely. We went to alot of flash bars in the Sydney area, where alot of Champagne was being drunk, we were happy drinking the lager and the JD and coke though!
On saturday, Andrew, Keely and i moved to Bondi to find accomodation there! The room was pretty bad as the guys that were staying there with us were pretty messy so it wasnt the nicest place to sleep. During the day we hit Bondi beach so was good to top up our tans. All Australians belive that the Bondi beach sand is so good that it makes British girls go topless. I didnt know if they were British but it was no myth!
That night, there wasnt much to do in Bondi so the 3 of us had to resort to going to the Mardi Gras in Sydney which is the biggest gay and lesbian festival in the world! If i was to say i was dragged there, would you believe me? i thought not! its true, honest! While we were there, we were subject to several different named carriages that were travelling down the street, such as "Dykes on Bikes", "Mature Gays", "Cowboys". It was pretty mad and anything goes so we werent in any rush to pick up any soap!! A definate back against the wall job! On Sunday we returned back to my aunty and uncles through the streets of Sydney where the Bars were still filled with people!
Today, we finally met up with our mates from home, Tom and Chris. We spent a day on the beach riding the waves, and playing rugby/American football and generally catching up telling eachother funny stories. It was a great day, cheers lads!
Tomorrow we will be meating up with them again and hitting Coogee at night. I will have to catch up with them after work, because im officailly employed! speak to all you soon, Jack and Andrew xx
