So we arrived to a really warm Australia, but then i realised it was only 7 in the morning! The first couple of days were cloudy but still quite humid and the last couple of days have been blue skies and Australian sunshine so that was awesome! We are both staying with my aunty and uncle (jack's) so its nice to have a base that we can call home if we need it. The house is mahusive with its own pool and a 5 star restaurant, thats my aunties cooking!! Its been cool to chill out in the pool, even if it has been at midnight!
On the first day, we went to Sydney, which is a really relaxed city. Sorted out our bank stuff, all pretty boring but we also managed to get ourselves an interview on monday
Yesterday, Andy took a trip up the Sydney Harbour Bridge which took about 4 hours, but unfortunately for him, there were a few Americans on the tour so there was plenty of shouting and cheering when they got to the top! How annoying! I decided not to go on. Not because i was scared of heights but im not as loaded as andy so i took that time to write a few post cards! All good though!
I would just like to take this moment in writing another funny thing that happened! I woke up during the night, i dont know why but i just did. Anyway, i was just getting back to sleep when i suddenly heard Andrew talking when he was asleep. He has done it before but most of it i cannot really understand but this time i could understand it and you have got to know what he said! He started shouting "YEH, YEH, 1-2, 1-2 SON!!", like he was in a football match! That was funny until i heard him say "yeh, i was in the world cup." I couldn't believe it, he even thinks he is the king of football in his sleep, but we all know it will only be a dream andy. Since then he has only been mumbling again in his sleep. Last night it was something to do with the fact he couldn't do something because "it is really, really hot"
Well, today (saturday), we took a trip to Manly Beach. They must have changed the name because they knew i was on my way! It was a really nice day so was good to knuckle down on getting a tan! We are not sunburnt today because we were really careful with the old lotion so its all good!
I was in the sea attempting to body surf and was loving the huge waves, while andy was sunbathing. The sea was beautiful and soon after i came out i had to go back in! I dont like to boast but i had caught this really good wave and was loving it until i felt this pain at the top of my arm. My first thought was that i caught myself on the guy next to me somehow and had sliced my arm open. I looked for blood but there was no immediate mark so i knew i had been stung by a jelly fish. A blue bottle in fact. I went to the life guard and they just explained that i had to wash it with clean water and wait for the sting to go. Pretty simple really but it really hurt!
We then came back to our first aussie barbecue beautifully cooked by my uncle so that was great! I suppose i should thank andy aswell as he did marinate the chicken last night so he did his part!
Tomorrow, we are moving into Sydney for a couple of days as we have the main event so far in our trip! Its Neighours Night!!! We get to meet some of the cast in a bar in Sydney so it should be a great night! Apparently its only English people who go because all aussies hate neighbours! Aswell as Fosters as i have found out!
Anyway, hope everyone is ok and will look forward to writing again! Photos coming up!! Jack and Andrew
