Went to bed nice and early but still woke up at 3 in the morn coz of jetlag. I went outside to check how busy it was, i hadnt even left the hotel, and was asked twice if i wanted a taxi!
so today, it was a nice 6 o clock start. we left the hotel in a small mini bus crammed with aussies! It took us 3 hours to get to the place where we visited a cemetery where soldiers of ww2 were buried. After that we went to visit the Jeath museum, turning out to be pretty boring but we had to do it! Thankfuuly, there were a couple of legends on our bus, so they kept us amused! From here we visited the bridge over the river Kwai
After our lunch, we visited the waterfall Sai OK Noi. It was wet. From here, we went to the highlight of the tour, elephant riding!! We sat on Winky, our elephant holding on to our lives. once again, safety not being the main priority. Unlucky for us, our elephant had a mind of its own, and kept goin off track for food, nearly making us fall off!
We then went bamboo rafting. We nearly didnt make it as we had to cross a swinging bridge of DOOM! It looked like something off the movies, with planks missing. SAFE! That left the 3 hour journey home to look forward to!
We did make a few friends, give a shout out to dave, the full time aussie legend who seems to know everyone on the planet. Jason the alcoholic who had 11 pints on tour and still seemed stone sober and tim the other only pommy, who actually has travelled all over the world so was full of advice!
Just bout to have dinner and book another tour to the floating market for 2moro!
