As we didn't have enough time the day before I decided to jump back on the train towards Mt Pilatus & check out the Hergiswil Glass Works at the base of the mountain in a little town called Hergiswil.
Glass blowing is one of my favourite past times, so I was very excited to get to stand above the work area & watch them making all kinds of creations. Oh how I love watching glass blowing.
It's free to go on a tour through the factory & you get a rather interesting video tour through a few rooms before entering the working factory itself. Bronny & I stood there in amazement for a good 40mins or so I reckon before we had a bit more of a look at the factories products from the past.
There is a play area with all kinds of musical and game related glass items & also a gift shop where you can buy some amazing pieces. There is also a seconds store over the road where you can pick up some slightly less perfect pieces for a bit of a discount.
