So that couple that I met (Aussie and Dutch) that were riding to South America just happened to be on the same route as me.  I joined up with them and rode 60 miles from Fruita to Dewey Bridge campsite which sits along the Colorado River.

My bike trip could not have had a better start.  It was great to ride and get to know Alister and Anna.  I found it much more enjoyable and easier riding with people.  We rode on the old US 6 which has turned to dirt in some sections and then we jumped on the freeway for a 10 miles or so and then caught the 128 thru Cisco, the ghost town all the way to our campsite.

The campsite sat on the Colorado River.  Fishing and watching the sun set in a place like that... Priceless!  It truly is amazing the beauty that remains all around us.

Didnt catch any fish of course and I even bought a lime in anticipation of my big catch.

Not much ice that night but my water bottle did freeze to a solid piece ice.

I love this camping stuff.
