We actually only drove through San Pedro Sula so there is really nothing to report about this destination. But I have had a few epiphanies that I wanted to share and what better place than here.

#1 (Gross text coming up) Dried human feces on toilet paper doesn't stink. In almost every place we have been you aren't allowed to put toilet paper in the toilets because of their inferior plumbing systems. Thus all waste that doesn't go in the toilet goes in the trash can. I personally was sure that this would create an environment to rival a port-o-potty at a 5 day summer music festival. This is not the case. It doesn't stink at all. My knowledge of life and science cant explain this phenomenon.

#2 Refridgerating dairy items such as eggs, mayonnaise based products that say "refrigerate after opening", and some milk is unnecessary. These things are never cooled here and no one ever gets sick... um... nevermind.

#3 There is music worse than Zydeco (sorry Buck). I think its best described as native Guatemalan love songs. It is characterized by a grown man or woman bellowing at the top of their lungs with a faint accompaniment of accordion and keyboard. It hurts.

#4 The incessant habit of 1st world countries to put lines on the roads only serves to limit our driving creativity. Here with no lines on the road a bus driver can turn a 2 lane road (one each way) to a four lane road (3 one way and 1 the other) just by passing a bus who is passing a horse drawn wagon and veering around an oncoming mini van.
