Where I stayed
Sunday was departure day - after Ivor's train error I was more than a little concerned when we couldn't check in online as it didn't recognise our reservation number - had Ivor really booked flights? Thankfully he had and we left (after one last wagamamas at terminal 5!) on time.
Montreal has been a perfect first stop, the weather has been fantastic (in the mid to high 20's) and it is really easy to navigate around. On Monday we walked to Mont Royal Park (this is where Montreal gets its name from). The Park has an amazing view point of the city. Getting up to the view point was easy but Ivor decided on a more direct, off road, route down - not great especially in flip flops!
We have covered most of Montreal's city centre sites, Old Montreal, the Old Port, the Olympic Park, Jean-Talon fruit and flower market, China Town, Little Italy, Latin Quarter and Old Montreal at night. Our favourite place is the Old Montreal - full of markets, musicians, artists and amazing restaurants.
Our next adventure starts tomorrow when we leave for Ottawa to meet up with our friends Erica and Andrew. I think that our livers are going to need to be replaced by the end of the weekend;)
