I am getting revved up- tomorrow is my birthday. I am happy to be celebrating it in such a nice location. I think we might go to my favorite Greek place by going to Chalet Grec in Ste. Sauver ( oh boy I know i am spelling that wrong. you would think I pass by the sign enough to know how its spelled!)
Chalet Grec is the best, the best Greek food, and you even get to bring your own wine to the restaurant! Where can you do that in the states? No where that I know of in Florida. The place is always packed, even during the week. Its a good thing we know the owner!
Today Dan and his brother along with his wife and her family have decided to make tomato sauce. Bianca, my sis in law, is Italian, and they have been planning to make this sauce in gigantic quantities in the wine cellar, and jar them and store them. As soon as I got there to see what was going on I could smell the basil and tomatoes that they got from Montreal. Huge pieces of basil are being put into each jar and the steaming hot sauce goes into the jar and it smells so good. The tomatoes have to be cooked down a bit and the wine is flowing and the music is on. Different, like things done in the old times.
