Our trip winding to a close we pulled into Guaymas for the evening.  We had decided to spend the last few days on the beach.  Once we hit Mazatlan, the cultural aspects of Mexico really disappeared.  So hitting the beach sounded good.  The state of Sonora is really all about agriculture, so we spent hours driving through corn, chili and tomatoes.  Guaymas and San Carlos are two sister beach cities.  Guaymas is an older port city and San Carlos is a bit touristy.  We got into Guaymas a bit late, so we just pulled into the closest RV park.  It was packed!  Over 200 RVs crowded into the place.  When we pulled in, we told the attended that we only wanted to stay one night and we didn't need any hook ups.  He pointed us to a spot on the main road, right in front of a huge RV (a Country Coach, for those of you that know RVs).  We were also partially blocking a drive way, but this was where we were told to park.  After settling in, we walked across the street to a beach side dinner of REALLY STRONG margaritas (I think they were ever clear, not tequila) and fresh fish.  When we woke up in the morning, the Country Coach had left, leaving us naked as we blocked the driveway.  At 6:30 a.m. as I stumbled out of the bus, some very nosy Canadian woman informed me "you know, you're blocking the driveway."  I responded by telling her we were told to park here.  She then replied - "Oh - well how much do they charge you for that."  I mumbled a response.  A few seconds later out of the bus came Laura's voice..."Oh my God, could she have been any more rude!"  The Canadian woman, still well within earshot mumbled something back and walked away.  Here's to open windows!  We pulled out of the in order to find a better spot in San Carlos.

Hey Brother and Sister-in-law!
We just finished catching up on your travels and look forward to seeing more! Mark

Its looks like Margueritas and Maps suit you well. The Mexican architecture is amazing. Glad the bus is holding up even if it is bumper-less. Have fun on your next travels! I'm envious! Love, Monica
