Just had a quick trip across the border to visit Emily in Bellingham. Quite possibly the most stringent border crossing yet - double fingerprinting (in case my left hand index fingerprint wasnt unique enough, i had to give them my right index fingerprint too!) and a picture taken.. though im sure the guard just wanted that for himself (no doubt he has seen me on Japanese TV).

Bellingham is a cute little Uni town just across the border (about a 2 hour trip from Vancouver, with added time on for Customs stop), very green and rainy. Apparently a popular sport in Bellingham is frisbee golf, which is just how it sounds. I couldnt get a round in though as it wouldnt stop raining. Next time..

The bus driver on the way back seemed to think I would have border crossing woes and made everyone let me go through first "Wheres my Aussie friend" he yells.

I walked through faster than anyone, assume that the border guard into Canada had seen my picture already.
