We tried to make it down to Piran in a night but with the Slovenian public transport system we are lucky that we made it as far as Koper, about 45 minutes from Piran.

Piran is a cute little seaside town, so similar to many others of its kind, and since its so close to Italy had a very Italian feel about the place. We had vaguely planned to spend a night there but as it was quite small and there wasnt too much to do (aside from admire the view of course, and it was a lovely view) we pretty much just went there, had a long look, ate some lunch had a wander around the cobblestone streets, lost each other somewhere amongst those streets and then grabbed a bus back to Koper to try and get to Bled. Timetables dont seem to mean much in Slovenia so after waiting for a non existent train we caught a bus back to the Lljublana - via everywhere else we had already been! But on the bus back in it started to snow..
