Someone was giving away two free bus tickets to Bristol, a few hours out of London, so Natasha and I snapped them up in seconds and off we went to check it out for a weekend.
As you can see by Natasha's outfit, it was beautiful and sunny warm. Well I suppose it was in February (a very cold time of the year over here)..it snowed on our way back to London. Bristol is known for such exciting things as a suspension bridge and being on the water. It was quite nice to be by the water again, but it was a harbour rather than a beach, and of course not really the weather to get our bikinis out.
We found a museum that was an old house restored to as it would have been, back in the 1800's, which is when my Dad's family first headed out to sunnier shores (by choice, not as convicts boringly). Quite a lovely little house, with a small garden maze, they wouldn't let me move in though, apparently my family connections just didn't cut it. At the end of the weekend we were just going a bit to crazy with our must do things, and suddenly it was time for the bus back. So we ran to get the bus. And got there and our megabus was nowhere to be seen, so we stood around in front of an old London (red, double decker) bus. This bus was just about to go when Natasha hit on the brilliant idea of asking that bus driver if he knew where our bus was, and yes you've guessed it - that was our bus. A narrow avoidance of another missed bus to add to my collection..
Check: One almost missed bus
