A while after training with tracks I took my first bus load of tourists out for a day in Bath, of course I had my backup Tracey along with me!!

I had to stand up in front of a bus load of tourists and welcome them on board, tell them a bit about myself and the trip to bath, and then when we got closer to Bath tell them all about Bath. Our trainer had made us practice this about a billion times on our weekend to Bruges, and with good reason! Its very scary.

We had followed the advise of another tour leader and booked a deal with an open top bus company and a ticket into the Roman Baths. When we got there we went over to pick up the tickets and they weren't ready. So everyone got on the open top bus and as we were going around a few people got off and the rest of us went onto the baths. Where the ticket guy tells us that we all had to come together to get the deal and not staggered. Hmm. We didn't remember that part! So I explained to all the ticket sellers and then proceeded to stalk around for the missing few, while sending everyone else into the baths. And then I waited most of the day for the randoms but they didn't show. I had a quick run through the Baths myself and then got back on the bus. 3 of the Randoms had been refused entry to the Baths (so I gave them their money back) and 2 had decided to get the train back to London so I have no idea what happened to them. So after panicking all day (remember it was my first tour group!) it all sorted out in the end..

Since I didn't see much of Bath, I took another tour group up (with Natasha) a few months later, this time I even knew where things were and could point people in the right direction rather than giving them a vague nod.

We went to many of the sights and to a Jane Austen museum (she had lived in Bath for a while) and when we got out Natasha said she hadn't even heard of her! So Im guessing that was a super interesting museum for her..
