So we arrived to Santorini. The port was bustling "you want a cab" "you want a room" we just slunk past and got on the bus up the hill. Our hotel was quite nice with a pool but this was our first real introduction to the European shower.

We walked up to town and I picked up some cough medicine, an interesting experiment, lucky George speaks a little of the lingo and was able to get it all across for me. Santorini is just lovely, all those little narrow streets with white buildings, blue roofs - they are all here. We went to a spot and hung around for ages fighting off all the other tourists and watched the sun go down.

Each night for dinner we would sit somewhere high up and look down at the water (cough cough), stunning views.

I picked myself up a bit of a reputation on Santorini, there is a queue for Cabs and you just wait along the side of the road till the cab shows up. So we had been waiting a while, a few people had gotten cabs and then our cab pulls up and some other foreigners tried to jump in it. I was sick, it was hot, we had been waiting, and all that so I told them (cough cough) there was a queue. They looked at us. They looked at the queue. They continued to get in the cab. In my cranky tone I had some words about the meaning of queues and they got out and we got in. Hopefully they went to the end of the queue.

Now the next night we had been out to dinner and a discotheque a little further out of town, we caught a cab back and well it had been a nice evening so we were a bit merry and were being silly in the back of the cab. The driver stopped the cab and yelled at us to get out or behave. We behaved. No one wanted to get in a cab with me after that. (cough)
