We heard about the 75th International Rice Festival in, Crowley, Louisiana. We were only 28 miles from it at the time and we had just had so much fun at the Acadians et Creoles Festival in Lafayette that we said Why Not? There was a poker run too that we thought would be fun (right again). The festival is free, the profit from the beer and the official souvenirs help pay for the festival. We did our part to support the festival. The music was great there were 2 stages, one in front of the courthouse another a couple of blocks up the street with live music all day until midnight. Cajuns are a lot of fun, everyone was so nice to us. The food is good too, We now love Boudin (pork sausage with rice and lots of spices).
