We drove for four days and decided it was time for a stop. We stoped in Mitchell, SD to visit the world's only Corn Palace. The murals are made from roughly 275,000 ears of corn, they are cut in half lengthwise and nailed in place. They decorate the outside of the building and the inside. It is a large basketball stadium that has retractable bleachers on one side that colapse to open up a stage. The first Corn Palace was built in 1892. Every year they redecorate the outside of the building, every ten years for the inside. It is very well done.
