Tuesday, 6/14 – We returned to Centralia to spend the afternoon and night with Linda's Mom and to organize our suitcases a little better, leaving as much as we possibly could behind….the suitcases still seem heavier than we would like.

Wednesday, 6/15 – After leaving Linda's Mom’s, we drove to Puyallup, a small town near Tacoma Washington to visit and have lunch with friends of Iris then on to our next B&B at the home of Jim and Diane, longtime friends of Linda’s. They live in Redondo Beach, just south of Seattle in a lovely home overlooking Puget Sound.  From their home we sat on the deck with our glasses of wine to view the cargo ships, tugboats and sailboats making their way between the Port of Seattle and Port of Tacoma.  Although the skies are predominantly overcast, it’s bright with sun breaks and we were able to take a nice walk along the beach.  This area was quite famous during the prohibition era in the 1920’s  when boatloads of booze were smuggled to the shore, then hauled up "Bootlegger's Trail" a path once taken by rumrunners’ shorebound assistants.  Jim and Diane introduced us to a fun game of WII and the four of us played golf while we hooted and howled.  Diane’s mother Louise joined us for dinner.  Louise will soon be celebrating her 90th birthday so she and Linda had fun catching up over a great dinner.  After a fun game of cards, where Iris took the winnings of 44 cents, Louise headed home and the four of us were back at the golf game. After 17 shots on one hole, WII told Iris to "Give Up".
