Followed the Moskva, down to Gorky Park - yep that's what we did this morning. On the way visited a sculpture park that held all the old soviet sculptures that used to be around the city. Also saw what the Moscow people called "the ugly Peter" monument. Standing about 100m tall, the designer originally tried to give this monument to USA, Spain, but they didn't want it. Then he gave it to Moscow, who now also don't want it, and are looking for a way to get rid of it. Art - fail :) Ended the day with a 4hr tour of the Kremlin - these Russians really know how to put on a tour! Also spent some time people watching - outside the kremlin there are these people dressed up as cartoon characters who basically approach kids, grab them in a big hug, and hold them hostage until the parents are guilted into taking the kid's photo and paying them money - kind of ingenious, but would be a little hot in those suits!
We leave Russia today for Ukraine - 2 days in Moscow definitely not enough!
