Despite only being back in Scotland for about 5 weeks I'd managed to do a spectacular job of unpacking, I had much more to do than I really should have. My parents took me to the airport again, it felt like I was only going on a little holiday compared to the last time, 3 months versus 1 year! perception is a funny thing.

A lot of people travel to Amsterdam from Scotland for the hedonism to be found there. The guy next to me on the plane definetly fit the bill, he wandered onto the plane last, he'd obviously been extracted from the bar for the flight. He invaded our shared armrest but still couldn't get comfortable. Something clicked in his brain and he leaned over to me and said, "Gonna put your arm on the other arm rest pal?". He must have thought that I was some sort of contortionist.

This wasn't enough, as half way through the flight he awoke from his slumber and then stretched out without any cares, practically assaulting me in the process. His final trick was to try and use the toilet as we were approaching the runway to land. I'm sure he had a great time in Holland....

It wasn't long before I'd managed to get myself to my friends' house. Absolutely brilliant to see them again. They'd also invited another couple of friends of ours over to visit them for the weekend, so really it was much more of a little social gathering rather than any sort of serious travelling.

In fact we spent most of our time just wandering around Den Haag, Delft, and Leiden. Making the most of the weather and the outside cafes for lounging around. That's the life.

I guess I really just need to rest a little bit before hitting Africa for Real. Uganda... Next Stop.
