.......Well, It's not.

I've been back in Scotland for a month now, and I have to admit that I've really enjoyed it.

My flight from Quito was a bit of a pain as I had to first fly to Guayaquil and then hang around there for a few hours for the plane to completely change its crew and get a make-over. I then had a quick connection in Madrid before flying to Birmingham. At this point I was able to get out of the airport for a while and have a look around, I'm fairly familiar with Birmingham airport, so it was my first real taste of home!

I then had a short hop up to Edinburgh where my parents came out to meet me. It was fantastic seeing them both again, and strangely weird being back in Scotland.

It's been quite a surreal month, I've seen cows in Edinburgh city centre, hob-nobbed with millionaires, given prizes to children at a local chess club's presentation night, and seen my niece lift the world cup (made of paper mache of course!).

I formed 'Job Club' with my mate David (The first rule of Job Club is.......). This entailed both of us having lie ins, hanging around, watching world cup football, clearing his house and playing with frisbees in the nearby field. The most important part of Job Club was actively avoiding any possibilities of getting paid work, I'm proud to say that I managed to get 100% in my appraisal with this target, however David split ranks a couple of times and headed off to sell his time, Humpfff.

Sadly a couple of days ago David and Nicola (his financée) left and are now in Uganda. I travelled with David and Nicola last July in China, they got engaged on the great wall after I left them alone and ran off to Thailand. Within the next week many more souls from Scotland will leave and end up in Uganda as well, in order to celebrate David and Nicola getting married.

Therefore it's not over yet! my travels start again very soon, this time in East Africa, with a kilt!
