Back in Bangkok
Entry 21 of 121 | show all | print this entry |
So, I flew into Bangkok again, this will be the 14th time that I've passed through this large, noisey, polluted city. The airport was the same as usual, it always seems to take a hour to get through the stupid passport control, no matter how much I try and rush off the plane I always get stuck in a massive queue.
This little trip to Bangers was purely functional and was completed in 26 hours flat, in and out again as quick as possible. I got my flights and visas to Burma sorted, did some email, laundry, shopping, yadda yadda yadd. A man's work is never finished!
One thing that I'd like to point out though is the change that I've seen in Kao Sarn Road since I last left here 4 years ago. It's just grown! and there are still loads of building work going on around here. Another new arrival is the proud parent with buggy and child on board. These must come from people who travelled around this neck of the woods a number of years ago and have now decided to come back with kiddies in tow, good luck to them I say.
Anyway, enough about boring BKK, It'll take a few days for my Burma visa to be processed so in the meantime I hear the sound of waves in my ears and I feel sand between my toes! I feel a holiday coming on.
