P: We're in Pushkar now, but leaving tomorrow. Ipa's recovering from
"stomach upset", it was really big UPSET, i just caught a cold so far. Pushkar is ok,a lot of westerners, but we needed it after Delhi and Jaipur experience. Didn't do much in here, just sunbathing on the roof restaurants, finally some nice sun without smog. I: Pushkar is a nice small town, a pilgrim place of Brahmanism. Now it's very westernised, everywhere we've seen mostly white people. Even so we like it and were very happy to breathe some smog-free air at last. The whole place is like a big bazaar, full with small shops with clothes, bags, jewellery, even furniture. Shame that we still have such a long way ahead of us, so that we can't buy much here. All the restaurants serve also western food, which suited me very well after those few agonizing days in Jaipur. So I had porridge for breakfast and mashed potatoes for dinner :) Now I guess I have to go back on the normal diet of dal, as we're leaving.
Our guest house was pleasant (maybe also the fact that it's strating to get warmer, alro in the night time, had something to do with our opinion) even if we didn't get that much sleep in the end. The first nite we had some parade under our window, with fireworks and everything, that ended around midnight. And before six o'clock the bells of the temple next to us went off with such a fervour, that we didn't sleep for the next hour. Second night there was an all night concert in the temple, which ended in the morning bells. Well, fortunately the music was quite soft, so we fell asleep quite nicely. More thumbnails ...
