Last day................sad........................final

Movement - packing - checking out..........all seemed to play out in slow motion. It was the desperate act of clinging onto something we didnt want to let go of.

A trip to Pacific Fair, if not a minor distraction, did little to change our spirits

A scenic drive to my sister's neighbourhood of Currumbin. a walk to the top of Elephant rock. Moments we quietly tried to prolong.

Moments we tried to delay - boarding our flight back to Sydney. during the flight we discussed how being up in the air , a blanket of clouds beneath us, there was no telling what or where we were flying over and thus entertained the thought of our plane flying in the direction of New Zealand.......if only.

Upon arrival in Sydney our demeanors seemed heavy, the "walking wounded" we were. returning was the realization that it was over and were we back in Sydney.......

I love everything you wrote. I love the memories that are flooding back into my mind as I read our travels. I cant believe it sometimes that that is how I felt, and that is what we did. It was amazing and worth every single second of time spent being there with you!!! :) L
