This was the second time this year i got to see my favourite singer Joss Stone perform live. The fact Joss returned for a 2nd time in Sydney (the first being in April) was something i never imagined but was thrilled with. The second time round Joss toured Brisbane , Sydney and Melbourne after being in Auckland, New Zealand. Again it was at the Enmore Theatre in Enmore/Newtown. Like the true FAN that i am i was dressed in complete Joss Stone clothing i ordered from her official website. There was a train delay that had me a lil panicked that we were going to be late but turns out we weren't. Unlike the first time we saw her there wasnt a line to get in - i was a little confused as when we saw her in April the line was huge and the doors didnt open at the time they were meant too.
This time when we approached the doors, music could be heard coming out from inside
The music erupted from outta nowhere , curtains pulled opened and Joss' band were in full swing, her delightful backing singers joyful as ever. Joss started singing yet was nowhere to be seen, creating an anxious mood in the crowd. when she emerged i couldnt hear a thing from all the screaming. This time round the show was different and Joss' performance killed her last earlier back in april. There was a lighting theme going on that was missing last time that added to the whole feel of the show.
the set list played liked this:

Girls They Won't Believe It
Head Turner
Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now

After the show Laura and I were standing outside the Enmore Theatre when we noticed Andy Bull taking photos with some fans
We probed him about how we can get one of those backstage passes, unfortunate for us he couldnt get us in. Laura suggested we go around to the back of the Enmore theatre as thats where Joss would leave from so we headed to the back to find a small group of groupies bahahahahaha. They were all delightful in particular these 3 girls who carried what i can only name as a "Celebrity Bible". This book consisted of photos and autographs of singers and actors they had met and the list was impressive. The girls were comedians too, having me in stitches the whole time i was waiting.
Slowly Joss' band made their way out of the backdoor and signed photos and autographs. Joss' backing singers Artia, Antonia & Ellison were joyful yet seemingly in a rush. it was awhile later when Joss emerged seemingly shocked to find a group of us had waited for her. Joss met everyone who had waited and signed autographs and took photos she even rang a girl's brother and left him a voicemail (i was soooo jealous)
I noticed Joss wasnt getting into her car instead she was walking up the alleyway and heading somewhere so immediately i followed. By this stage Nathan had come to meet Laura and I and was with us now. We followed Joss to where she was standing outside a pub called Duke (i think) whilst she finished her cigarette. it was strange to see the lead singer of Thirsty Merc hugging her goodbye and giving her a kiss (what was going on there...?) and then Joss entered the pub. Laura, Nathan & I were joined by a girl i called "Badge Girl" (as she made badges for Joss and her band and Joss seemed to know her personally - maybe from another show). Badge girl and i decided to follow Joss whilst Laura and Nathan continued with their cigarettes outside.
We found Joss sitting alone in the back courtyard having a cigarette. Badge girl and i went over and immediately offered to buy her a drink..which we did and Joss' told us to sit down with her. Here i was, sitting right next to my favourite singer - i was speechless!!!
.we talked with her about her desire to become a midwife (go figure), what type of music she was currently into, how her tour has been, what she planned on doing for xmas etc it was just like how i talk to any of my friends and she didnt treat us any differently either.
When Laura and Nathan walked in they were shocked to see me sitting right next to Joss Stone
.It was at this stage i realized too many people were catching onto the fact Joss was there and a few more fans appeared so i decided (along with Badge Girl) to leave Joss be (we finished our drinks first - the fact i was drinking with Joss Stone in a pub in Newtown was just trippy).
Laura , Nathan & I stayed a bit longer , i would occasionally and deliberately pass Joss and she kept acknowledging me like i was an old friend.
When we left i was high on happiness there was no talking to me - Gerre was officially off with the fairies. The happiest i have been and by far the best night i have had so far...to this day i still pinch myself.

Joss and her groupies including me
. Andy Bull who supported Joss Stone last time and who Laura and myself become big fans of ( earlier attending his headlining gig at the Vanguard in Newtown) was already on stage. The crowd wasn't big and we only got to enjoy a few of Andy's songs before his set was over. The theatre then became full - it amazes me how it did considering there was next to no promotion of the show even taking place. It immediately was different this time as the stage curtains were drawn closed. A guy in front of me had his phone out and was using infrared and you could see Joss Stone dancing around on stage.... it was surreal - a little peak-a-boo thing happening as the curtains were closed and you could only see her through this guy's mobile phone...that fascinated me.The music erupted from outta nowhere , curtains pulled opened and Joss' band were in full swing, her delightful backing singers joyful as ever. Joss on Stage
. His guitarist and producer came over to talk with us (i think he was flirting with Laura) and then Andy came over . He has the softest sweetest talking voice its adorable. We told him he needs to cut his hair - the length is getting out of control and asked him when his first CD will be released. We probed him about how we can get one of those backstage passes, unfortunate for us he couldnt get us in. Joss Stone and Laura
! Joss bummed a cigarette off me and then we talked about her show.Joss' laughed at both of us when we mentioned that we didnt realize she was wearing a wig during the show. a photographer came and joined us showing us the snaps he took during the show. It was sooo surreal there i was talking candidly to my favourite singer. Joss' was lovely and all too happy to take photos .we talked with her about her desire to become a midwife (go figure), what type of music she was currently into, how her tour has been, what she planned on doing for xmas etc it was just like how i talk to any of my friends and she didnt treat us any differently either.
