Today we were roadtripping further north to Terrigal and the Entrance. we also had a mission to find a coffee table for my sister.first stop was a shopping centre that was both massive in size (we didnt even scratch the surface of it) and desolate. It was rather uneventful (found no coffee tables) until we met a rather racist sales assistant in a clothing boutique. Disgustedly we set off on the highway headed to the Entrance, along the way stopping off at another shopping centre, one that resembled Westfields that are commonly found throughout Sydney and surrounding suburbs. I spent majority of my time in Kmart and bought myself a bed robe $15, beanie $2.75 and sunnies $8. Again no coffee table.
When we arrived at the Entrance i was met with slight disappointment.I had heard so much about the Entrance, it's beautiful, that much is true.I dont know what i was expecting but it wasnt what i found. The Entrance is extremely touristy and the prices found in shops were evident of that. we got lunch and sat in a park opposite their bay that doubled as a beach. there was some kind of carnival / arts & crafts thing going on which we checked out, with our belly's full , some photo's taken we ventured off again for Terrigal.
Terrigal is an extremely picturesque beachside town but was far too busy when we arrived. after trying to find a place to park the car we eventually gave up and drove towards the lookout point , which rested atop of a hill. We contemplated climbing up but were put off by the journey down.
On the road again, we were headed back to Koolewong, along the way found a furniture store and found a coffee table for my sister. It didnt look heavy in the slightest yet when we went to pick it up we were proven otherwise. The coffee table accompanied me in the backseat on the trip home, which was awkward to say the least.
Now was the fun part, my sister was under the deluded impression she would be able to carry it up those horrific stairs on her own and realized moments later that was an impossible feat. I helped her carry it up the stairs to her house with a great deal of difficulty. when we got it inside we dropped it immediately , it landing with a loud sound that was a cross between a bang and a thud , which alerted laura who was going through her days purchases.
The rest of the day was spent assembling the coffee table, lazily lounging around the house watching t.v , eating and chatting away.
