. But once he got the change, he simply put it in his pocket and never went back up to pay his fare. Nobody said anything because he was a big guy, and I guess people were afraid of him. Actually, on our way to the mall, my husband saw a postman being punched by a man. The postman didn't react to his action but simply walked away. Who knows what was the story behind that one. We arrived at the ferry terminal and waited for the ferry back to Manhattan. This time we got to spend some time in the terminal and realized that it has recently been renovated.
The ride back to Manhattan was an enjoyable one. It was late in the afternoon and I felt the seabreeze, nice!
Went to see "Hairspray" that night, definitely a fun musical. If you like "Mama Mia", you will definitely like this one too.
We took the subway to Bowling Green and went to take the ferry to Staten Island. We got a map at the ferry terminal and was interested in walking to look at some historic houses once we got there. According to the map, the houses are located within walking distance to the ferry terminal, so we decided to walk. We walked and walked, there was no single soul along the streets. More than half an hour has gone by and we didn't manage to find the cross street that was supposed to lead us to those houses. We saw a bus approaching, so we ran towards the bus stop and hopped onto the bus. The bus eventually took us on a half hour tour of the island and ended up at a shopping mall. We had to catch the musical "Hairspray" that night. After a brief visit to the mall, we tooked the bus back to the ferry terminal. While we were on the bus, there was a guy who got on the bus and claimed that he didn't have change to pay for the fare. He told the bus driver that he would ask the other passenger(s) to break his bill, which he did
