Two morning walks along the Silondha Trail in the last week of November and first week of December, saw the forest carpeted in blue purple Eranthemum Roseum wildflowers.   The flowering was profuse, more so than I have ever seen here before.  This could be due to the deficient monsoons this year coupled with higher than average October / November temperatures and a few sporadic bouts of post monsoon showers.  Whatever the reasons, a huge variety of wildflowers are out in full force.  Here are the photographs:
