The Viaduct district off of Quay Street is alive with bars and restaurants (and it is summer here), so everyone is outside having a great time.  It is a little cool in the evenings but not bad, still eat outside weather. The Kermadec Restaurant had been recommended to us - seafood and more seafood yum!  We were not disappointed.  An intimate table for two on the upper deck, a view of magnificent yachts, wonderful service, great New Zealand wine and amazing seafood.  Al has the Blackened Roughy, I have Seared Salmon.  An amazing Pavlova for dessert - all is well in the Southern Hemisphere.  Tomorrow we will get serious about exploring Auckland.

Romantic City of Sails
Sounds like you have recouperated from your long flight and getting climatized to New Zealand. Hope you took lots of photos, a dinner table over the harbour. It has warmed up here, power went our for a few minutes this morning. Just giving a little shot of my reality since I am so jealous of yours, ha, ha.

Truly, soak up every ounce of sunshine and enjoy every moment on your trip. I'll keep watching for your blogs.

Sounds of the Sea
Sounds to me like you are both having a wonderful holiday filled with all the gems you are discovering along the way. Yes, I am, Jill, I am jealous, jealous, jealous. Happy Valentine's Day!!!

The day was okay, Tuesday night Harold came to visit and brought me 6 long stemmed beatiful pink roses. How sweet.

Heading to Ontario tomorrow after work for the weekend, Family day on Monday. Take care, enjoy, take lots of pics, and one more thing, (IN jest) Don't drink the water, the last lady I know who visited there came back pregnant.
