Sweaty, but happy with our morning (mid-day after sleep and food) achievements we decided to head for the clocktower in the middle of town. A funky tall building (looks like big ben) which flashes neon colours...obviously a must! We soon realised that the clocktower was in the middle of a busy market square, where all the colours of the world were packed into pashminas, "I've found myself" trousers, spices and little tea cups! We were lured into the upstairs of a shop where we were soon shown how to identify the cheap and nasty from the quality and fire-proof. This led to an hour of scarf-trying, trouser-wearing, and haggling frenzy...which we came out with 3 beautiful scarves and 2 trousers (a bargain for a tenner....NOT).
Back at Hare Krishna guest house (not sure if its called this because of the number of times you get woken in the night by the Hare Krishna's drumming away) we chilled out for a while with some naan and raita before hitting the town (in our new scarves, all worn in different ways). Dinner was on a roof top restaurant and very tasty.
So now its tomorrow we are going to meet our camel friends, back on Friday, probable with sore bums. We're thinking of getting massages as apparently they are a specialty here. Not for our bums. That's just coincidence....
lots of love
