Where I stayed
Well I finally made it into an internet cafe! Have been stuck in the room for a few days with the inevitable bad stomach that always seems to come with being in Mexico. I'm hoping it is almost over... I hate being stuck inside or not feeling well when it is such a beautiful day outside!
We are here in Todos Santos, about an hour and a half from La Paz, about an hour and a half away from Cabo San Lucas which is our next stop. The weather here is absolutely perfect - not as hot as La Paz, and a little breezy to take the edge off. We are staying at this little motel across the street from Hotel California (yes apparently it is THE original, the one the Eagles song was written about, but there seems to be a lot of them saying they are the original!). It is more expensive here than it was in La Paz, and WAY too many American tourists here
We managed to hitch a ride with Sam and Nicole, and of course Michael (Oklahomey). They still had their car (they sold it today as they are flying into Mexico City,a and then on to Argentina), so it worked out really well that we were all heading to the same place. They were suppose to leave one day, but by the time they finished packing up and stuff, they were too tired, so stayed one more night. It was meant to be, so that we could hitch a ride with them! So that last night in La Paz was like a big reunion, as two Aussie guys they met earlier had come back to La Paz. So we partied on the roof of the hostel until the wee hours. Good fun for sure. Good memories of La Paz!
There isn't much to do in Todos Santos other than shop (which we aren't doing), so we are heading on tomorrow given my stomach will be ok! Grr... However, we did manage to go to Playa Los Palmas... a beautiful beach just out of town where you have to go 4x4 through this dirt road, then park your car randomly, then get out and walk for a bit to get to it. All very worth it! It was gorgeous!
Our room here is..
With that, Adios amigos....
