This is the entry for my summer gig out at e2m or engineering environmental management. I interned there and it the pay was good, but the most important thing I did was experience San Antonio and all of Texas for that matter. While I was there I met some great people, made some close friends, saw a lot of great things, and just experienced everything I could. In short I had a blast. I did way too much stuff to put down in the blog so I'm going to name the first 10 things that come into my head that I did in SA:

1. learned how to make barbaccoa the traditional way. Barbaccoa is cow cheek and it is a traditional tex mex food, especially good in tamales, but the old fashioned way to make it is to buy a whole cow head dig a pit in the ground and fill it with coals then wrap the cow head and bury it in the pit for a few hours then come back and eat up.
2. Took over 5000 pictures. I just got my first digital camera on cino de mayo (3 days before leaving for this trip) and I went on a picture taking rampage over the summer.
3. Saw the sun set from the mnt. at eisenhower state park. This is over by the army base and it has a mnt, that is really a big hill, and if you head up there about 30 min before sunset you can be at the top right as the sun goes is beautiful.
4. Played basketball every wed. with locals at a church on the north east side of the city.
5. went down the river walk and did the tour thing. Now this is a very touristy thing to do (locals never go to the river walk) but that doesnt make it any less interesting.
6. explored the city at least every other day. I would drive around and get lost or park and just walk around the city randomly looking for cool new things. One of my favorite things to do was grafitti hunt when I went on the inner city excursions.
7. did yoga 4 times a week. I joined a gym and went to the yoga and tai chi classes they held there, yoga on M/T TH/F and tai chi on W. it was a lot of fun and very spiritual, if you have never done yoga or tai chi- DO IT your body will love you for it.
8. I worked out there as an intern and got to take the first buisness trip of my life and I got to help design some things as well. But mostly it was just do boy work.
9. I shot and edited my very first videos ever when I was out here. I have to say some are good and some really suck but you know i was and still am learning. That has become a huge hobby for me and I absolutely love it. I also got on youtube and myspace over the summer and the main reason was so that I could share my pics and vids with my friends back home.
10. discovered things about myself that I didnt know existed prior to living here
