Oktoberfest

Hey Everyone!
Wanted to write you all about my past week. It started last weekend when Larissa and I went to Munich. We stayed with my crazy Uncle Horst, which was a bad idea for our livers. We went to Oktoberfest on Saturday with Horst, my Uncle Rudy, and a giant Hamburger named Rolf [I call him a hamburger not because he's an all-beef patty served on a sesame seed bun, but because he's from Hamburg.] Oktoberfest reminded me a lot of a theme park like Great Adventure, only with a lot more Germans, [Italian tourists,] wurst, and beer. Well, my uncles were kind enough to buy Larissa and me three steins (3 liters a piece) of festbier (13% alcohol) each and then take us on the roller coaster. It was quite an interesting experience. Then we ate pretzels, wieners, and potato salad until we were sick again. It was great fun! I think you all should try it at home.
Larissa and I arrived home in Freiburg on Sunday after spending some time with my grandmother and my cousins Gerhard and Kristina, and then on Monday I was off to Berlin on a university trip. To be continued... More thumbnails ...
