Thanks to Greg's connections, four of the guys (including him) got to fly first class. But according to Mike D, this didn't matter much. Hardly anyone slept, and the few hours in the airport between flights was not very accomodating for sleep. When they arrived in Tacna, they had their first building/construction projects waiting for them, and it wasn't until the afternoon after lunch at a local chicken restaurant that anyone got a chance to catch up on some much needed rest. They topped off the evening with some soccer.

They got an early start on one of the two building projects, combining their two teams so they could finish one of the stages of the project. Being late to OANSA (Spanish version of AWANA) didn't stop them from joining in the games with the kids. Lunch at Chifa (Spanish for Chinese) was a whole new cultural experience. Mike D says that the broccoli and beef is just like what we we're used to in the US, but the sweet-and-sour chicken and sweet-and-sour pork is very different. Tonight they're participating at, the youth group (and possibly another round of soccer).
