Upon entering Moscow we were rudely stopped by police who wanted to see our visas. When it transpired that we had not had our visas stamped, they took offence and tried to get a 'fine' off us. When we feigned ignorance threy took even greater offence, and led us into an abandoned train station, into a dark room. At this point, we decided it might be a good idea to hand over the money. Sinister looking police backing you into a corner with batons and metal detectors change your perspective on money. All 140 euros of it. We got our visas stamped at a hotel and fled Moscow.
