21 days to go! Ida and I have been rather busy over the past two weeks, winding down our jobs, arranging leaving do's, renting out our house, and receiving the last of our seven vaccinations. I, stupidly, as a result of my irrational fear of injections managed to talk my way out of a polio vaccine as, originating from South Africa, I thought I was immune. What I didn't know at the time was that polio is included in a combination innoculation with tetanus and diptheria, and I have therefor ended up having to have an extra single polio injection for my efforts. Sorting out our affairs has proved to be more expensive than anticipated with everybody wanting a cut, from Banks to Visa embassies. I think we're in need of a holiday...
Simon Jones has kindly arranged a few days' accommodation at The Borgo Di Colleoli in Italy for us to chill out and read up about our forthcoming trip.
