Today, we didn't take any pictures and it was a very low-key day. We got up around 5am, and then headed to the airport to get Tricia. I drove. I HATE driving in this city. There aren't many roundabouts but there are tons of cards and traffic and crazy drivers. On the way to the airport, I was cut off and had to slam on the brakes, everyone was understandably shaken. About 4 minutes, the whole freeway came to a standstill and was merging into one lane because there was an accident. As we got closer, we saw that it was a 10 car pileup! We were all thinking that we narrowly missed that a few minutes ago.
Once at the airport, we got banana bread and hot chocolate and waited for Tricia. I think we got to the gate too early because it felt like we waited for a long time. After she arrived, we headed out to the car in the rain and piled in; Amy was driving home. At one point she was in the far right lane (the one closest to center) and a bus just started to merge into us. We all freaked out and Amy honked and the bus moved back over, but he barely seemed to care. He was tailgating cars all around, trying to get past them. Worst bus driver ever.
Once we got back, Rissa and Tricia went to the pool, I skyped Adam, we called Dad and told him Happy Father's Day. Then, Amy and I went down to the pool. Amy and I had been slightly sore after our first day of riding, but nothing too bad. However, when we woke up THIS morning, after 2 days of riding, we could barely walk. Our inner thighs were so tight that we shuffled along like old ladies. The pool definitely helped, but it didn't completely alleviate it.
After the pool, we all headed over to the mall. Every single store had a sale sign, but most of the clothes were expensive to begin with. Amy was able to find some leggings, and I got pants and 2 shirts. We stayed out for a few hours, exploring the area near the hotel and I found a great jacket for Adam, but they didn't have the right size so I think I'll go back later this week.
When we got back, Larissa and Tricia were napping. Amy and Mom and I watched TV and hung out in the living room for a while. When we all got hungry, no one wanted leftover lasagna, so we decided to order takeaway. Amy and I got Thai food, Riss and Tricia got pizza.
I don't remember what time I fell asleep, but apparently it wasn't early enough.
