SYD - day 1

Landing kat Sydney, lepas customs, tunggu luggage. Australia has this strict ruling about bringing drugs, plants and even food in the country. So sambil tunggu beg, ada polis round dengan anjing pengesan. Abis semua beg dia cium, hidu & gomol, termasuk laa hand carry aku. URGHH. Satu citer laa aku nak samak.

Baggage lalu, aku amek, ada lagi check. Surprise, surprise, I was one of the chosen one. Bukak laa beg tu, kastam nak check. Tasty ok, so aku rela jer. Dia siap tanya, "If you're unemployed, how did you pay for your
flight ticket?" Cakap je guna voucher. Hahaha. But all was ok, I got through, took the train, got into Sydney and checked in into the hotel.

Dah checkin, I went out to catch a first glimpse of the city - via Hyde Park.

Hyde Park

It was sunny and the weather was fine. Not too warm, so a lot of people were sunbathing. In their swimwear. On a Thursday afternoon. I'm starting to like this place!! Then I scraped some dirt from the ground, went back to the hotel & sertu beg aku yang digomol anjing tuh. Satu keje kann.

DaBridge

Come night time, I walked towards the harbour, tetinjau suasana malam. You can't help but to hold your breath when you get your first sightings of the Opera House. Even if it's just the sight of the tip of the
tiled roof through some trees. Then about another 400 steps later, I was standing in front of it. Awesome sight. And the Harbour Bridge looked equally good. Walked around, snapped some photos, and walked back, through the city.

DaOpraHaus

was 9pm, and all the shops had already closed, so it was sorta deserted...and
dark. Selamba je aku jalan tetengah bandar sensorang dalam gelap gitu kan. But I reached the hotel safely and went to bed, ingatkan sambung je jalan esok.

Jeng jeng jeng...citer belum habis lagi yer. Tengah tido tu, kul 11+pm, fire alarm dalam bilik bunyi. Kuat nak mampus. "Please standby for further instructions". Lawak ke apa ni? Siap pikir macam tu kan. Bukak pintu, takde pulak orang lari. Masuk balik. Selang seminit, "Please evacuate the building immediately". Bukak pintu, tengok minah-minah saleh ni lari tak berkasut. Ayooo, cecepat amek beg (dalam dah isi passport & laptop), wallet, henfon (penting yer)), terus lariiii. Merasa turun tangga dari tingkat8.



Kelakar pulak tengok orang-orang ni semua turun, ada kaki ayam, ada pakai jaket tak berbaju. Yang baju tido tu takyah cakap laa, memacamstail. And I think they had the same comments about rambut baru bangun aku. Heh. Apparently there was a fire in a room on level 6.

Terbakar

laa sembang-sembang dengan hotel guest yang lain...& abang bomba Sydney. Huhuhuu...


We were let back in after about 45 minutes outside. They
said 3 rooms on level 6 were badly damaged. Nasib laa bilik saper tu ok. Aku
pikir nak tido jer. Zzzzz...
