The first thing I did when I got there was go to Starbucks, and say what you will about Starbucks being an evil corporation and all, but it was heaven in the form of an Iced Venti White Mocha. Debbie then had a tour of the Frankfurt stock exchange which was an interesting experience, the tour was in German but Christina did a great job of translating. We then hit up a medieval castle and town, which had a neat little café. For dinner we went to this German brewery in Friedberg, and I ate a pig's leg, which was amazing. We stayed the night at Christina's parent's house. Her parents were extremely generous letting me stay the night
The next day we wandered around Frankfurt, where it was nice to have Debbie and Christina so that I had quite a bit of insight in to the sites and sounds. We did so much that day its hard to remember, but I remember going up one of the tallest buildings in the city, we saw a church, the old town hall, and a few other things. Oh yeah, and we started the day at Starbucks.
The next day I got a guided tour of Kassel from Debbie. Kassel has this really cool park on the top of a hill with a statue of Hercules on top. The pictures came out really well. We also went to an art museum and hit up some of the other sites around the town. The trip was a thousand times better because Debbie and Christina were there to show me around. I didn't quite feel like a stupid tourist, although I still can't comprehend German.
The next day I was off, I stopped in Frankfurt and picked up another Starbucks because I thought it would be my last chance. It was a pleasant surprise when I found one in the London airport, so I had it twice that day. Check out the pictures, I took more on that trip than I have on any other, so there are at least a couple good ones.
